Sales training certification

We certify what your team did. Not what they attended.

90 days of evidence · Manager assessed · Verifiable online · Valid 12 months

Certification built into a bespoke sales training programme for your own team. Earned on live accounts over 90 days, for organisations with 30 or more salespeople, delivered on site or live online.

Sales training certification is a formal, verifiable confirmation that a salesperson has met a defined standard of selling behaviour. At Klozers it is part of a bespoke programme delivered to a company’s own sales team, and it is earned on evidence, not on attendance.

Most sales certificates are issued on the last day of the programme. They record that a person attended. They tell you nothing about how that person will run a deal in March. Klozers certification is issued 90 days later, on evidence of what a salesperson did in their own accounts, assessed by their own manager, and confirmed by anyone who scans it.

Everyone else certifies attendance. We certify what people did.

Why it matters

Why certification belongs in a sales training programme.

Procurement asks for it

Enterprise procurement increasingly asks whether a programme leads to a recognised certification. If the answer is no, the programme is marked down. Certification lets you answer yes.

Feedback scores are not evidence

A satisfaction form at the end of a workshop measures the day, not the behaviour. Certification replaces satisfaction scores with dated evidence from live accounts.

People perform when their name is on it

When a salesperson knows the standard carries their name and is checked at Day 90, the account plan is used, not filed.

One shared definition of good

Certification writes down what good execution looks like in your business, so every manager coaches to the same standard rather than their own.

The core distinction

An attendance certificate is not a certification.

This table compares a traditional certificate of attendance with a Klozers execution certificate.

How it is earned

Two stages, over 90 days.

Stage one

Candidate

Awarded on completion of the workshop. It confirms the participant completed the workshop and built an account plan to full depth. It expires at Day 90. It is deliberately temporary, because attendance alone is not the standard.

Stage two

Certified

Awarded at Day 90, on evidence gathered across the three checkpoints. It is valid for twelve months and renewed on evidence of continued compliance, assessed by the manager, not by attending another programme.

What gets certified

Ten requirements, built around your standard.

Certification is earned against ten execution requirements. Your leadership selects four execution topics that matter most in your market. Klozers writes two requirements against each topic, which gives eight. Two further requirements are common to every Klozers certification: a 90 day account plan in active use, and an honestly documented Day 90 outcome.

Four topics × two + two = ten.

Every requirement is observable, tied to a checkpoint at Day 30, Day 60 or Day 90, evidenced on a live account in the salesperson’s own book of business, and assessable by a manager without interpretation.

The content varies by client. The rigour does not. Klozers certifies your standard, not a Klozers methodology. As examples only, a client might choose topics such as reaching the person who controls the budget, qualification discipline, value articulation, or building consensus across a buying group. Your four are yours to set.

What it measures

What certification measures.

Because the same ten requirements are assessed at the same checkpoints for every participant, a cohort produces a structured record of execution simply by running. There is no separate measurement exercise and no survey.

For each cohort, that record includes:

This is what separates a certification from a certificate. Each audience reads the same record differently.

HR and Learning and Development are asked what changed. This answers with behaviour rather than satisfaction scores, and it can be presented to a board.

Sales leadership gets execution quality as a number that can be inspected, per person and per team, rather than an opinion.

Line managers see drift at Day 30, while there is still time to act, rather than in the quarterly forecast.

How this record is presented back to you is agreed during scoping, not fixed in advance.

Why it holds up

Built so the certificate can be trusted.

Manager assesses, Klozers issues

The salesperson’s own line manager assesses the evidence and signs. Klozers designs the standard and issues the certification, and never marks a requirement as evidenced. Klozers audits a sample of completed assessments.

Evidence is dated when it happens

Each requirement is evidenced on a live account at the checkpoint it falls due, so the record reflects what happened at Day 30, Day 60 and Day 90, not a memory written up at the end.

It expires

Certified status is valid for twelve months, then renewed on evidence of continued compliance. A certificate that never expires tells you nothing about today.

Anyone can verify it in seconds

Certificates are issued to the Open Badge 3.0 standard through Certifier, a platform that is ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant. Recipients can add the certification to the Licenses and Certifications section of LinkedIn in one click.

Who gets certified

Three certifications, three audiences.

Certification runs by audience, not by level. The salesperson earns it, the manager who assesses the evidence earns one of their own, and the organisation earns recognition for coverage across the team.

The salesperson

Certified Practitioner

Ten requirements evidenced across 90 days on live accounts. A certification that means something outside the organisation it was earned in.

The manager

Certified Coach

Earned by managers who run a full cohort properly: checkpoints held, evidence assessed, honest assessment, sample audit passed. Their competence becomes visible, not only their team’s.

The business

Certified Organisation

Awarded when certified coverage across a sales team passes and holds a defined threshold. Execution quality becomes a number leadership can inspect and report.

What it means for you

Certification, from four points of view.

HR and Learning and Development

You can show procurement and the board what the programme leaves behind: a defined standard, dated evidence and a verifiable credential, not a stack of feedback forms.

Sales leadership

You get one written definition of good execution, applied across the team and checked at Day 90, so coaching and forecasting rest on the same standard.

The salesperson

You earn a credential that records what you did in your own accounts, valid for twelve months, and you can add it to your LinkedIn profile in one click.

The line manager

You assess the evidence against a standard written in plain terms, so you can sign with confidence and coach to the same bar as every other manager. Run a full cohort well and you earn a Certified Coach credential of your own.

Common questions

Sales training certification, answered.

What is sales training certification?

Sales training certification is a formal, verifiable confirmation that a salesperson has met a defined standard of selling behaviour. At Klozers it is part of a bespoke programme delivered to a company’s own sales team, and it is earned on evidence gathered over 90 days, not on attendance.

Your leadership selects four execution topics. Klozers turns them into ten requirements, evidenced on live accounts at Day 30, Day 60 and Day 90. The salesperson’s own manager assesses the evidence and signs, and Klozers issues the certification.

A certificate of attendance records that a person was present. A certification records what a person did. The Klozers certificate is issued 90 days after the programme, on evidence from live accounts, or not at all.

Candidate status is awarded on completion of the workshop and expires at Day 90. Certified status is awarded at Day 90 on evidence and is valid for twelve months, renewed on evidence of continued compliance.

Every certificate carries a QR code and a certificate number. Scanning the code opens a verification page that returns the holder, status, scope, issue date and expiry. There is no public directory of certified people.

Certification is 85 pounds per person, or 99 euros in the eurozone. Renewal is 25 pounds, or 29 euros. The programme that leads to it is scoped and priced for your team.

It is worth it when you need to prove a programme changed behaviour rather than simply delivered a workshop. Certification gives procurement a clear answer, gives managers one standard to coach to, and gives the business dated evidence from live accounts.

Klozers designs the standard and issues the certification. The salesperson’s own line manager assesses the evidence and signs. Klozers never marks a requirement as evidenced, and audits a sample of completed assessments.

In depth

How does sales training certification work?

Sales training certification works by defining a standard, then requiring evidence that a salesperson met it in their own accounts. At Klozers the standard is set by your leadership, the evidence is gathered over 90 days, and the assessment is made by the salesperson’s own manager. The sections below answer the questions buyers and procurement teams ask most often.

What does sales training certification actually prove?

It proves that behaviour changed, not that training happened. A certificate of attendance confirms a person sat in a room. A Klozers certification confirms that, over the 90 days after the programme, the salesperson met a set of execution requirements on live accounts, and that their manager assessed and signed the evidence. That is the difference between recording an event and recording a result.

Why is certification part of every Klozers programme now?

Because enterprise buyers, and procurement teams in particular, increasingly ask whether a programme leads to a recognised certification. A programme that cannot answer that question is marked down or removed from the shortlist. Adding certification means an HR or Learning and Development buyer can show procurement and the board what the programme leaves behind, in a form they can check.

How are the four topics and ten requirements chosen?

Your leadership selects four execution topics that matter in your market. Klozers writes two requirements against each, which gives eight, then adds two that are common to every certification: a 90 day account plan in active use, and an honestly documented Day 90 outcome. That is ten. Each requirement is observable, tied to a checkpoint, evidenced on a real account, and written so a manager can assess it without interpretation. The topics vary by client. The rigour does not.

What is the difference between Candidate and Certified?

Candidate is awarded on completion of the workshop. It confirms the participant completed the workshop and built an account plan to full depth, and it expires at Day 90. Certified is awarded at Day 90, on evidence gathered at the Day 30, Day 60 and Day 90 checkpoints, and it is valid for twelve months. Candidate is deliberately temporary, so that attendance is never mistaken for a result.

How is the certificate kept honest?

Three ways. The manager assesses and signs, while Klozers designs the standard, issues the certification, and audits a sample of completed assessments. Evidence is dated at the checkpoint it falls due, not written up from memory at the end. And the status expires after twelve months, then renews only on evidence of continued compliance. Every certificate is issued to the Open Badge 3.0 standard through Certifier, a platform that is ISO 27001 certified and GDPR compliant, and can be verified in seconds from its QR code.

How is certification delivered across countries?

Programmes are private to your team and delivered on site or live online, wherever your people are. The certification standard travels with the programme, so a team split across markets is assessed against the same requirements. The page and the certificate are available in English and German, with pricing shown in pounds and euros.
